Five Little Things

Five little things I loved this week:

1. Lobster Cobb Salad

My husband had a craving. He ran to the store, came home with two beautiful lobsters, and went straight to work, steaming them. As he shelled them, pulling the precious tails and claws out for me to transform into a Lobster Cobb Salad, I checked the archives and couldn’t believe that I first posted this recipe exactly one year ago. It was a good craving to have – my son was in lobster heaven (it’s his favorite food!), and I was reminded of how much I love a good cobb salad (particularly if there’s a lobster in it!).

2. To-may-to, To-mah-to

To refrigerate or not to refrigerate? That has always been the question. This may change our minds.

3. A Sketch

The love for art runs deep in my house, and I just love when both my kids are content to sit for hours, drawing. I can’t wait to show them this talented lady – check out Heather Rooney’s stop motion of her drawing the late Robin Williams. She captured the twinkle in his eye.

4. Keeping on Task

I have a new app that I love! gTasks! I am always testing out good to-do list apps, but have long wanted a way to access the Tasks in my Google calendar. This is it! On my Android and my iPad, it shows my tasks in a nifty to-do format, and synchronizes beautifully with my calendar. Love it.

5. Dear Dads

There’s nothing like the love of a father. Especially one who takes his daughter to a One Direction concert. We’re not quite there yet, but I can see the fun that is up ahead from these amusing images of bored dads at a One Direction concert in Nashville this summer.
