Simple Sundays | Toasting with Prosecco

Simple Sundays | Toasting with Prosecco

I almost did a double take when I looked at my calendar today. The days are flying by so quickly, I can’t believe that Mother’s Day is a mere week away! At our house, Mother’s Day is always special, but next week will be especially meaningful because for the first time, we will be able to celebrate with my mother-in-law. When you live far away from family, holidays such as Mother’s Day are wistfully spent with grandparents via phone or web cam.

I can not wait to honor two generations of motherhood.

This novelty calls for an extra special celebration! Though I’m not sure yet how we will spend our day, I have always thought it would be lovely to honor my mother-in-law with a champagne brunch. She has been such a joy in my life – when I hear horrific stories of mean in laws, I always say a silent prayer of thanks that I have been blessed with such caring parents in law.

What better way to say thank you than with a toast of something bubbly?

And something sweet?

This lovely prosecco is a beautiful sparkling wine to toast the special mother figure in your life. The sunset hue of the Conti Di Buscareto Rosé Brut is mesmerizing, and it lures you in with the aroma of sweet cherries. As the bubbles linger on your tongue, it’s like enjoying a bouquet of roses in a bottle. And it is especially lovely with white chocolate truffles. I can’t think of a better way to celebrate the sweetness of motherhood.

Lovely post and photos, once again. I’m fortunate to have a wonderful mother-in-law, too. She’s a major source of inspiration in my life and I don’t know how I lived without her … but I’m thankful each day!

I just adore sparkling roses, especially when consumed outside with family members, over a big bowl of clams. Thanks for sharing this, Liren… and Happy Mother’s Day!
