1. Citrus Surprises

This beautiful, fragrant batch of Meyer lemons was a welcome surprise from a good friend — oh, I can’t wait to do something fun with them! What do you think? Blueberry Lemon Curd? Meyer Lemon Ricotta Muffins?? Meyer Lemon Coffee Cake? Oh the possibilities!

Speaking of citrus, I’m smitten with this Olive Oil Orange Cake with Cardamom Glaze from Tasty Seasons! Doesn’t a cardamom glaze sound lovely?

2.The Power of Music

My piano had its tuning yesterday, and it’s one of the happiest days of the year for me – it means I am treated to some live music played by someone else on my beloved instrument! If you follow me on Snapchat, you will have gotten a little taste – I wish I could have someone play the piano every day while I work, I would be so much more productive! I also loved listening to the incredible sound of the only playable Stradivarius guitar – you’ve got to take a listen!

3. “Google” for Kids

I have a love-hate relationship with the internet. I love how the internet shares information and brings the world together (it has brought me to you, after all!). But I hate how danger lurks for children who are online. So glad to see that Kiddle, a search engine is a good place for kids. There are conflicting reports calling it Google for kids, but apparently it’s a 3rd party — either way, I’m all for it.

4. Daddy Braids

I think all daddies with little girls should do this! What a sweet and fun way to learn how to braid your daughter’s hair…and bond!

5. Ice Cream 101

What?? Eat ice cream in class? Where was this course when I was in college?

Happy weekend, everyone! Hope there’s lemons and ice cream involved. Hmm…Lemon Curd Frozen Yogurt, anyone?

Hi Kate! I love doing this series just for that reason. It’s a nice way for me to wrap up the week :) I hope to try your cake soon – that glaze sounds SO good!
