Five Little Things

Happy Halloween! I just got back from the gym where the instructors were all in costume; maybe they should dress up more, it’s funny how motivating it is when you’re taking a class! I am going to see if our little pup still fits in her costume so she can help me hand out candy tonight, but our little girlie has really filled out, so it may not fit, haha! I hope you have a safe and fun Halloween…and get to sleep in tomorrow!

Here are Five Little Things I loved this week:

1. Chocolate Orange Cookies

Ever since my conversation with this week’s podcast guest, master chocolatier Phillip Ashley Rix, I have made several batches of his Dark Chocolate Orange Cookies, and I made yet another batch to bring down to my daughter when we visited her last weekend. She is our chocolate orange lover, and she gave it a hearty thumbs up, calling out its wonderful texture! That recipe is live, and I hope you give them a try. While you bake, tune into Episode 116 for company!

2. 9 to 5

As I mentioned, we visited our daughter to watch her in a production of 9 to 5! I haven’t seen the movie version in years, so I saw the musical with fresh eyes! It was such a fun one!

3. Creative Teachers

I love when teachers find such creative ways to share food and culture with little ones! Mr. Danny shared Korean BBQ with his preschoolers in such a clever way!

4. Salem Globetrotters?

The Oregon Zoo’s adorable sea otters love basketball, with pumpkins, no less!

5. Cutest Costume Award!

I know there are many cuties out there, but this one is so adorable!

Stay joyful! Happy Halloween!
