Five Little Things I loved the week of March 6, 2026: a puppy pawty, typewriter art, a delicious stew, and more!

Five Little Things

I was walking our dog today, and chuckled at the little flock of chatty birds up in the trees. They are there at the same time each day, and so intense, they remind me of gossiping coworkers at the water cooler…or loud middle schoolers at Starbucks after school, haha. I’m enjoying the cacophony while it lasts!

Sometimes I hear them through the window, so it’s been good background noise while I work. They kept me company while I posted a new recipe this week, in case you missed it! And I updated my favorite stew recipe of all time. It is a personal and reader favorite – have you tried it yet? They’re definitely one of my favorite little things this week.

Lastly, both kids come home this weekend! I’m preparing myself for all the special requests and better stock up on groceries! Here are Five Little Things I loved this week:

1. Puppy Pawty!

Our pup, Binka, has a more active social life than I do! She helped her buddy, Sir Teddy Winston, celebrate his first birthday at a very cute puppy pawty, and it was the cutest thing ever.

2. Typewriter Art

How exquisite is this medium? I am taken with James Cook’s typewriter art!

3. Making Friends

It should be this easy.

4. Snowy Fun

A talented architect in NY had some fun with their recent snow!

5. Appliance Music

I think the washing machine wanted to be part of the group!

Stay joyful!

  1. Animate Photo

The stew recipe update is timely for me. I’ve been trying to expand my cooking experience beyond basic meals. Stews seem like a good way to learn layering flavors and using different techniques. I’ll check out your updated version and see if it inspires me to try my own variations. I also use Animate Photo for animate photo or animate picture online with a powerful AI image animator. 2. Seedance 2.0

While the puppy party sounds adorable, I’m especially intrigued by James Cook’s typewriter art. It’s amazing how he creates such detailed images with something we now consider a very old-fashioned tool. I wonder how long one of those pieces takes him to complete? I also use Seedance 2.0 for generate cinematic AI videos from text or images with Seedance 2.0. Create faster with stronger prompt control, smoother motion, and production-ready visual consistency.
