Five Little Things
Five Little Things I loved the week of November 21, 2025: milestone birthdays, Jane Austen Stories, dealing with rain, and more!
It finally hit me that Thanksgiving is just around the corner! I tightened up my menu and cooking timeline, got almost all my ingredients yesterday, and will start baking today! I’m kicking things off by baking Savory Herb Stuffing Bread for my stuffing croutons, and getting the dough ready for my Apple Cheddar Gougères. What about you?
I also revisited my mom’s Banana Pineapple Cake this week. It reminds me so much of her, and it always puts a smile on my face. It’s a great one to add to your Thanksgiving dessert table!
Here are Five (more) Little Things I loved this week:
1. Milestone Birthdays
One of my dearest friends turned 50 last weekend, and it was so wonderful to celebrate with her! What a reminder of the good people in our lives, and the beauty of seeing the people we love on their life journeys. To see her travel through all that life serves us – the good and the bad – is such an honor.
2. Narrations
Just when I thought I’ve enjoyed every iteration of Pride and Prejudice available, I was so happy to stumble upon a narration by Julie Andrews on the new Noiser Podcast series, “Jane Austen Stories.” She’s so delightful!
3. Falling Asleep these Days
Parents of kiddos will get this one. It made me actually laugh out loud!
4. Rain in LA
We’ve been enjoying some much needed rain, and when I think of my friends in Southern California, I hope they’re staying safe!
5. Homecoming
In a few days, my kids will be coming home from college! These two reels captured how it feels at my house right now!
Stay joyful! Happy almost Thanksgiving!
