Before you know it, we will have to say so long to Meyer lemons, at least until next year. As it is, we are already way past peak season; however, Meyer lemons can still be found, if you are lucky, through April. So, if you are fortunate enough to have access to Meyers (and lucky you, if you have a Meyer lemon tree!), seize these fleeting days and make something lemony sweet.
A few weekends ago, my husband showed me a tweet by the feisty (and very endearing) Chef Gordon Ramsey:
So, I had to make one. With Meyer lemons.

Oh, it was very good. And not at all difficult to make. You can make one, too…find the recipe here.
And if pie is not your thing, check out this old but very comprehensive Los Angeles Times article – they offer 100 things to do with a Meyer lemon. I bet something will strike your fancy!
Love this and Thanks for putting a like for those 100 things to do with Meyer Lemon!
The pie looks wonderful.
I recently discovered the beauty of meyer lemons — its such a beautiful blend of orange and lemon flavors. I love that photo of the bowl of squeezed lemons, I can almost smell the bright citrus aromas. Your pie looks scrumptious!!!
I am not a Gordon Ramsey fan, but if the pie turned out well then I’m tempted to have a go at it – it does look very pretty! Gorgeous photos, Liren =)

Beautiful pie. Lemons aren’t my favorite thing, but I do know some people who love lemon pies that this would make very happy!
Gorgeous post. I love the idea of using Meyer lemons to take the tartness down. Beautiful.
My all time favorite. When I was little I used to eat the merengue first
What a beautiful pie and perfectly fluted crust! I’m still finding Meyer lemons near me, and I’m taking advantage of them while I can.
This is a great way to celebrate meyer lemons. I haven’t made a pie in a long time…is this a sign I need to get moving? :)
Yes, Sara! Do it before the Meyers go away :)
Just finished making a batch of candied vanilla kumquats. Sounds as if we’re both relishing the very last bit of winter citrus this weekend. The meringue on your pie is sheer perfection. Thanks for the beautiful visuals, once again!
Oh, the adorable kumquats, yes, I must do something with them before they disappear, too. Candied vanilla kumquats sounds divine!
Lovely lofty peaks on that pie. What a treat for these early spring days.
Lemons make everything taste better! I grew up with citrus trees in our back yard – I miss them now that I live in new England! Beautiful Lemon Meringue Pie!
I’ve made lots of recipes using Meyers but I think never a Meyer lemon meringue pie. Love that this is so simple, I’m off to visit my mom to pick Meyer lemons off her tree. Enjoy your Sunday, Liren.
Caroline, you are so very lucky to not only live close to your mom, but have access to her Meyer lemon tree!!
Beautiful! I do love those meyer lemons…the photo is gorgeous.
I love Meyer lemons too. Great photo of them!
I love meyer lemons! Too bad we have to say bye to them so soon…Your pie looks delicious :)
