Five little things I love this week:

1. Smoothies

Every. Single. Day. Every afternoon, to be exact. My day is not complete without a Strawberry Banana Soy Smoothie, and it’s the first thing I make when we return from a vacation. It’s my way of knowing that I’m home, I am nourished. I have even won my childrens’ playdates over with their creamy goodness. I’ve got my heart set on trying Caroline’s Peanut Butter Banana Oatmeal Smoothie (probably for dessert!), and adding spices to warm up my smoothies for winter, as featured in theKitchn.

2. Julia’s Child-hood Kitchen

Imagine living in Julia Child’s childhood kitchen in Pasadena? I loved seeing how the family fortunate enough to live in the historic home beautifully renovated the kitchen where Julia toddled. I adore everything about it!

3. Easy Entertaining

Charcuterie, good cheese, freshly baked bread, wine…and friends. That’s all you really need. I’ve been enjoying these impromptu weekend get togethers – no stress, and a whole lot of fun!

4. SEO

I am the absolute worst when it comes to things like SEO. I mean it. So when I saw Cassie’s series on Search Engine Optimization for Food Bloggers, I was happy to learn a thing or two, or three, or four. Alright, a lot! Now if I could just put what I learned into action…

5. Ellen

I heart Ellen. And her pranks. And with Dennis Quaid, they make a pretty hilarious team!

Happy Friday, everyone! Have a wonderful weekend!

p.s. THANK YOU to everyone who stopped by Thursday’s Top Chef Twitter Chat and all of you who took a moment to like my Le Creuset photo on Pinterest. I am so thankful for all of you — that makes #6! But really. Thank you.

Isn’t that kitchen gorgeous? Sigh. And thank you, Cassie, for your sharing your knowledge with us!

Yes to all of these things. Going off of the easy entertaining thing, well, I must admit that I’m just now learning about the joys of good cheddar, apple, honey, and flavored salts… Kind of obsessed.

    Have a great weekend darling!

Oh, you would have loved this cheddar that I tried last weekend, Brian. From Washington, it was perfectly nutty, just the right amount of sharpness! Happy weekend to you and E!
