Five Little Things
Five Little Things I loved the week of September 18, 2020: gratitude, the 80’s, crazy life stages, and more!
Hi, everyone! I hope you’re all well. This was a crazy week for me — I’ve been working on some fun recipes behind the scenes that I can’t wait to share with you in the coming weeks. But perhaps the highlight for me was the return of fresh air to the Bay Area, at least for a little while. My daughter and I took daily walks again, the first in nearly a month! My feet and leg muscles had to get used to long walks again! I’m trying to enjoy each deep breath as much possible, since the smoke is due to return this weekend. I hope that you are well and finding joy in all the little things!
Here are Five Little Things I loved this week:
1. The Year of Gratitude and Helping Others
As challenging as 2020 has been, it has also been the year of gratitude. There is just too much we take for granted, especially food, and yesterday on Instagram, I shared how we can help hungry families across the United States.
2. Craftsmanship
Just as peaceful as sipping tea is watching this artisan make the perfect tea pot.
3. Delicious Virtual Travels
My friend Jane shared this great piece from Clumsy Girl Travels listing virtual travel experiences! Imagine making egg tarts and tacos at home!
4. 80’s History
The newest American Girl doll is from the 80’s, and boy I’m having flashbacks!
By the way, did you know that banana clips are back? May as well get a new one while we’re back in the 80’s vibe!
5. The Circle of Life
The middle schooler stage might crack me up the most!
Stay joyful!
