Five Little Things

Hello friends! Halloween is around the corner – are things getting festive for you? I’m looking forward to handing candy out this year — last year I was away from my house, and I missed it! It’s always so fun seeing our adorable little neighbor friends when they knock on our door! It also means I will be able to make my favorite chili – a Halloween tradition.

Here are Five Little Things I loved this week:

1. Soup Season

The temperatures are dropping, and it finally feels like fall! It’s time for some soup. I made some of my favorite Arroz Caldo (Filipino Chicken and Rice Soup) this week, which is always so comforting. If you’re looking for more soup recipes, here are 20 Simple Soup and Stew Recipes.

2. Candy Corn

If you remember, a few weeks ago, I became obsessed with crochet! I have ventured past The Woobles crochet kits (which I highly recommend trying if you’re interested in learning) and am now experimenting with different kinds of yarns and patterns. I made the pumpkin (pictured above) to practice with chunky yarn and this candy corn amigurumi in fine-sport yarn — it’s such a great way to relax!

3. We Cook Filipino

I am so excited that  WE COOK FILIPINO (affiliate link) was released this week! It is an honor to have my story and recipe included in this collection of 51 heart-healthy recipes and 36 stories from 36 Filipino food personalities and award-winning chefs worldwide! 📕🇵🇭
