Five Little Things
Five Little Things I loved the week of March 13 2026: a full house, brownies, clever art, and more!
I’m sitting outside in the yard, with the sun on my back, and a light breeze. It feels like summer! This whole week has been beautiful. The hills are green, and the trees still have some blossoms left. The other day I drove by a little area near my house that has become a little photo op for blossom peepers, and there were tons of cars and people taking pictures!
I hope there are signs of spring in your corner of the world.
Strawberries are plentiful right now, and I recently tried pineberries — have you sampled this hybrid? I tasted some that were incredibly sweet, and some that were mediocre. But it did call to mind some of my favorite strawberry recipes! Have you tried my Strawberry Shortcake or Strawberry Shortcake Cookies? There’s also Strawberry Rhubarb Crisp!
Here are Five Little Things I loved this week:
2. A Full House
Both kids were home this weekend! My daughter came up for a quick visit, while my son was able to spend the better part of the week of his spring break with us. It was so nice to have them both home at the same time, even for a short while!
1. Brownies
On my son’s last night home, he requested my K.I.S.S. Brownies. I was happy to whip up a batch and sent him back to college with the extra! Have you tried this recipe yet? It’s my go-to brownie recipe!
3. 100 Acre Celebration
I recently stumbled upon the artwork from Lizzy of the musical duo Fairview. How charming!
4. Map Art
Speaking of art, I love the process behind artist Ed Fairburn‘s map art!
5. Now Boarding
It’s a busy travel season, especially with spring break! If I saw this couple recording this in the terminal, I would be cracking up along with them!
Stay joyful!
