Five Little Things
Five Little Things I loved the week of August 8, 2020: wine windows, baseball fans, street art, and more!
Here are Five Little Things I loved this week:
1. Zucchini
It’s zucchini season, and I can’t get enough! Of course, there are all the things you can do with zucchini noodles and ribbons — I reshared my Zucchini, Corn and Pesto Flatbreads, but there are also Sweet and Spicy Crispy Tofu with Zucchini Noodles, Spicy Shrimp with Zucchini Noodles, and Zucchini Noodles with Chicken and Tangy Peanut Sauce!
And then there’s everything baked! Have you made zucchini bread yet? If not, now is the time to make Double Dark Chocolate Zucchini Bread or Zucchini Bread! Go find some zucchini inspiration!
2. Medieval Wine Windows
After centuries of being shuttered, the medieval wine windows of Tuscany are being used again. There’s even a Wine Window Association.
3. A Seat at the Game
How do you fill a stadium in current times? With fan cutouts! You never know who’ll be seated next to you!
4. Tiny Love Stories
We need to spread more love, and my sister shared these Tiny Love Stories in the New York Times with me…if you haven’t read them yet, I pass them on to you! Can you share a love story in 100 words or less?
5. Cracking…a Smile
I know I’ve shared sidewalk artists before, but now more than ever, we need more artists like David Zinn. And we need to tap our own inner creativity and smile!
