The end is upon us. I think many of us are eager for 2020 to be a distant memory, but I will say, despite its difficulties, there are also some bright spots, and we must hold on to what nourished us this year. For me, creating recipes for you is definitely one of my blessings, and I must thank you for cooking along with me.
Each year, I love to look back to see which ones are your favorites! I love that you continue to appreciate the Filipino recipes I share that are near and dear to my heart!

4. Slow Cooker Bánh Mì Vietnamese Sandwich
I revisited this oldie but goodie recipe in 2020, and I’m so glad I did. This Slow Cooker Bánh Mì Vietnamese Sandwich is one of the most flavorful things to ever come out of a slow cooker (and I have to say, I love this method of making a succulent bánh mì!
3. Oatmeal Pancakes
Oatmeal Pancakes is another recipe that I updated this year, and one of my family’s favorite pancakes recipes. I’m so glad you all loved it, too!

I shared this version of my mom’s Ensaymada recipe to celebrate Kitchen Confidante’s 10th anniversary, and I’m so glad so many of you have made it!

When I published this recipe for Tater Tot Breakfast Casserole little did I expect it to shoot to the top recipe of 2020! But I can see why — it was definitely one of my family’s favorites from this year, too!

5. Mechado – Filipino Beef Stew
There’s nothing more comforting than a stew…did you know that this was the first dish I ever cooked for my husband? It’s no surprise that Mechado continues to be one of the most popular recipes on my site today!
4. Achara: Filipino Green Papaya Relish
This oldie but goodie became an all time favorite this year, and I’m so glad! Achara is a green papaya relish that goes with EVERYTHING! It’s delicious on anything grilled (especially seafood and chicken), and is great on other things too, like hotdogs and burgers.
3. Taho: Filipino Silken Tofu with Sago Pearls and Syrup
Taho! The first time I had Filipino Silken Tofu with Sago Pearls and Syrup, I fell in love. If you haven’t tried this sweet treat, I hope you do soon!
2. Puto: Filipino Steamed Rice Cakes
I shared these muffin-like rice cakes to celebrate my blog’s 8th anniversary, and clearly, you all think it’s worth celebrating, too! It’s grown to be one of the most popular recipes on my site!

A Filipino fiesta isn’t complete without lumpia! This reader favorite continues its reign as the most popular recipe in 2020!
